Court sitting for man arrested following Gurranabraher burglary

A man in his thirties is to appear before the courts this morning in connection to a burglary that occurred in Gurranbraher yesterday evening.

The man was arrested yesterday following the burglary which occurred around 4.30pm in Barretts Terrace.

A man entered a house through a downstairs window and stole items of jewellery.

Gardaí patrolling the area received a report of the burglary and stopped a suspicious man who was found to be in possession of the stolen jewellery.

He was arrested, brought to Gurranabraher Garda and detained under Section four of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court this morning, at 10.30am.
