Following multiple sold out shows including Iveagh Gardens Dublin on July 4, Fontaines D.C. have announced two more shows for 2020.

The band will appear at Live At The Marquee, Cork on May 28,  followed by Live At Botanic Gardens in Belfast on May 29.

Their long-awaited and highly-anticipated debut album Dogrel, was released last April with exceptional reviews locally and internationally.

Along with a run of sell out shows in Ireland and beyond, highlights of 2019 also included a remarkable performance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

This latest announcement follows the news that Tom Jones and Mrs Brown's Boys live show will also come to Cork this summer as part of the gig series.

Mrs Brown's Boys will play three shows at Live at the Marquee, with one performance on June 12 and two shows on June 13.

Tom Jones will take to the Marquee stage on Tuesday, 2 June.

Whilst this is set to be the last year of the gig series at its current site, concert promoter Peter Aiken last week confirmed that he is in talks with Cork City Council to find a new site for concerts in Cork.

Other previously announced acts for this year's gig series include The National, Cat Stevens, Dido, Diana Ross and Jenny Greene.

Tickets for the Fontaines D.C. gig go on sale this Friday, January 31 at 9am from all usual outlets.

Tickets cost €38.00
