Rita's, established by Cork natives Ciarán O'Regan and Diarmuid Connolly, officially launched the pop-up last night to the delight of many Leesiders.

The pop-up will operate as a call and collect service every Thursday to Sunday from 4pm to 10pm.

Frontline workers were given a sneak preview yesterday, with free pizzas delivered to several hospitals and healthcare facilities in the city.

"A massive shoutout to everyone down in Cork for the warmest of welcomes.

"Crazy to think this was only an idea a couple of weeks ago," Rita's wrote on social media.

Customers are allocated a collection time for their orders and are asked to use contactless payment where possible and adhere to social distancing guidelines upon collection from the Crawford & Co courtyard.

Whilst the pop-up is currently a call and collect service only, it is understood that plans are in the works to set up a delivery option.

You can call 083-3646088 to place an order for collection.
