Cork's Allie Sherlock to support Niall Horan in online fundraising gig tonight

Over 150,000 people are expected to tune into the concert which will be hosted by 2FM’s Eoghan McDermott.

Cork singing sensation, 15-year-old Allie Sherlock, will be performing for the nation tonight in a live stream on 2FM and Instagram to raise funds for ISPCC.

Over 150,000 people are expected to tune into the concert which will be hosted by 2FM’s Eoghan McDermott.

Allie will be performing, live from her kitchen, ahead of Niall Horan at 7pm. The gig will be live on Niall Horan’s Instagram page.

Speaking to The Echo, Allie said she was excited about the gig, which would likely be her biggest live performance yet, but said she wasn’t nervous at all.

“I’m used to this, I do it all the time. At the moment I’m live streaming every second day to keep people entertained during the lockdown.” Allie said she was asked to take part in the marathon Childline fundraiser, which had been ongoing for the past week and a half, by Hozier’s manager and she was very happy to help out.

“I think the Childline charity is one of the best and I am happy to support it any way I can.” The young singer said she would be performing a range of covers including her favourite cover song, ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star is Born’ and the rising star said she may also include one of her original songs as well.

Tune into 2FM at 7pm to catch Allie performing from her kitchen or log onto Niall Horan’s Instagram page.
