Cork business devises innovative way of retailing products during coronavirus pandemic

The Cork store, which is located in Paul Street Shopping Centre, now has a vending machine outside the shop stocked full of some of Wild Designs best selling products.

Taking to social media earlier this month the craft business announced its new venture.

"So our little mission to Cork yesterday was to fit out this baby! The Wild Design vending machine, just outside our Cork store in Paul Street Shopping Centre! "Filled with Irish made Tea lights, locally made soaps, cards, notebooks and scented sachets and a fantastic selection of incense," Wild Designs stated.

Wild Designs, which also has a shop in Killarney, was established in 2017 when Bronwyn put a call out online for designers to showcase their products in a temporary pop-up shop from October to December. The pop-up was located in her Mum’s store, called The Candle Shop in Cork.

After a phenomenal response to that initial endeavour, Wild Design became a permanent business, located in the very same place.

On social media, customers lauded the vending machine idea as "ingenious", praising Wild Design for "thinking outside the box".

As well as the innovative vending machine, Wild Design Collective also has an online store which remains operable during the pandemic.
