ONE member of the Navy, based in Haulbowline, has tested positive for Covid-19.

The member tested positive last week.

As a result, contact tracing was carried out and it is understood a number of naval personnel were tested.

However, a Navy spokesman said that no ship has been affected because the member was not at sea when he tested positive.

He added that all HSE guidelines were followed.
