Canine conundrum: Collie rescued by Coast Guard in West Cork
A number of members of the Castletownbere Coast Guard team came to the assistance of ‘Ben’ after he ended up on a ledge near the Beal on the north side of Beara Peninsula.
The Coast Guard rescued a collie dog from a cliff edge on Saturday night after the canine found himself trapped on a ledge.
A number of members of the Castletownbere Coast Guard team came to the assistance of ‘Ben’ after he ended up on a ledge near the Beal on the north side of Beara Peninsula.
Posting on their Facebook page, the Castletownbere crew members said they assisted Ben down off the ledge and he has happily reunited with his owner Eileen soon after.
