Saoirse Ronan believed to have bought West Cork home

West Cork has proven itself to be a popular destination for many stars over the years and it is now reported that another global celebrity has bought her dream home along the coast.

Saoirse Ronan is believed to have purchased a property in West Cork after holidaying in the area on numerous occasions.

The Southern Star has reported that she was said to have been especially taken with the areas of Ballydehob and Schull.

While the exact location of her new property has not been disclosed, it is understood to have been on the market previously for almost €800,000 but was sold off-market

At the end of last year, Ms Ronan sold her home in Greystones in Co Wicklow for just over €1.6m, eight weeks after putting it on the market. 

Since coming to global attention as a teenager for her role in Atonement, the Irish actor has become one of cinema's most respected stars, with a number of Academy Award nominations. She also won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for Lady Bird.
