Cork city bar closes temporarily due to Covid concerns

Posting on Facebook and Instagram, SoberLane management alerted their patrons to the temporary closure.

Popular Cork city pub, SoberLane, has closed after it was discovered a possible case of Covid-19 visited the establishment in the past two weeks.

Posting on Facebook and Instagram, SoberLane management alerted their patrons to the temporary closure.

“Friends, Through contact tracing we have been advised some who visited us within the last two weeks may be Covid positive. For that reason we are going to put safety first. We are going to remain closed for the weekend. See you all next, next weekend.” 

 The pub will now remain closed until next Thursday.

The announcement comes as 324 additional confirmed cases were announced on Thursday evening with 34 in Cork.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.
