CUH has highest number of patients waiting for beds for second day running 

More people are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital (CUH) this morning than any other hospital for the second day running. 

More people are waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital (CUH) this morning than any other hospital for the second day running. 

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s (INMO) Trolley Watch Report show 107 admitted patients are waiting for beds at hospitals around the country this morning.

Of these, 95 people are waiting in emergency departments, while 12 are in wards elsewhere in the hospitals.

The figures show that Cork University Hospital (CUH) has the highest number of people waiting for beds.

This morning 24 admitted patients are waiting at the ED for a bed.

Eight people are waiting for beds at the Mercy Hospital.

Overall, 32 admitted patients are waiting for beds with EDs in Cork, and account for just over a third of all people waiting for beds at EDs around the country.
