Weekend TV sport round-up: Mayo v Kerry, as Cork aim for All-Ireland camogie glory

One of sport’s greatest curses could be lifted this weekend, as Mayo aim to bury a 75-year hoodoo.

The men from the West are in the All-Ireland football final, having last won the prize in 1951 - they have lost in 11 finals since.

To end their wait, they will have to see off the ominous threat of defending champions Kerry who are seeking their 40th crown.

The match is live on RTÉ2 on Sunday at 3.30pm.

Before that, you can enjoy the build-up in Up For The Match: Live From Croke Park on RTÉ1 on Saturday at 9.30pm.

Presented by Jacqui Hurley, Dáithí Ó’Sé, and Louise Cantillon, it will be a live celebration from Croke Park, in front of 300 fans, looking forward to the final the following day.

It promises to be be a mix of big-name interviews from the world of GAA, fun, games and chat with the fans from both Kerry and Mayo.

Meanwhile, Cork are aiming for a record 31st title as they take part in the semi-finals of the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championships on Saturday.

The Rebels face Tipperary at Semple Stadium at 6pm, after the other semi-final between holders Galway and Kilkenny at 4pm.

Both games are live on RTÉ2.

Cork have made every final since 2020, and will be aiming to go one better than last year when they lost to Galway by a point in a dramatic final.

There is live coverage of the National Athletics Championships 2026 on RTÉ2 on Sunday from 6pm.

Paul O’Flynn is joined by a trio of Cork athletics legends - - Derval O’Rourke, Rob Heffernan, and Sonia O’Sullivan - for the action taking place at Morton Stadium, Santry.

The Formula 1 season moves on to Hungary for its Grand Prix on Sunday, with live coverage on Sky at 2pm.

Finally, the Galway Races take place next week, with live coverage from Monday to Thursday on RTÉ2 each day.
