Cork captain Robert Downey lifts the Allianz League trophy last year

After a rip-roaring Allianz Hurling League, defending champions Cork are one step away from retaining their title. They face Limerick in the league final at the TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday at 4pm, and it’s live on TG4.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy provided one of the sporting moments of last year when he won the U.S Masters to claim a career grand slam of majors.

He tees up his bid to retain the famous green jacket when the 2026 edition begins next Thursday, with coverage live on Sky for all four days.

It’s FA Cup quarter-final weekend in the UK, and the first tie at 12.45pm on Saturday pits together Manchester City and Liverpool - that’s on TNT Sports.

Next up, it’s Chelsea v Port Vale on BBC1 and TNT Sports at 5.45pm, then Southampton v Arsenal on those channels at 8pm.

The final tie is West Ham v Leeds United on Sunday at 4.30pm live on TNT Sports.

The Champions League reaches its quarter final first leg phase next week, and the ties are Real Madrid v Bayern and Sporting v Arsenal on Tuesday at 8pm, Barcelona v Atletico Madrid and PSG v Liverpool on Wednesday at 8pm - all on TNT, with the latter also on RTÉ2.

West Ham are also in Premier League action on Friday, April 10 at home to Wolves, and that’s on Sky at 8pm.

Rugby’s European Champions Cup has reached the last 16, and Leinster host Edinburgh on Friday at 7pm. It’s live on Premier Sports.

Munster’s match at Exeter Chiefs in the Challenge Cup is on Premier Sports on Saturday at 12.30pm.
