Who will be named the Irish sports star of 2025? All is revealed when The RTÉ Sport Awards 2025 take place on RTÉ1 today at 8.05pm.

The documentary, George Best i gCorcaigh, on TG4 on St Stephen’s Day at 8.15pm, tells the extraordinary story of the footballer’s time with Cork Celtic 50 years ago, featuring exclusive interviews and rare archive footage.

The weekend Premier League action kicks off with Newcastle v Chelsea on TNT Sports at 12.30pm, followed by Manchester City v West Ham on Premier Sports at 3pm. There is a Sky live triple bill tonight, starting with Tottenham v Liverpool at 5.30pm, then a choice of Everton v Arsenal and Leeds v Crystal Palace at 8pm.

The action continues with Aston Villa v Manchester United on Sky tomorrow at 4.30pm, and Fulham v Nottingham Forest on the channel on Monday at 8pm.

The festive Premier League action kicks off with Manchester United v Newcastle on St Stephen’s Day on Sky at 8pm.

In rugby, Munster’s URC clash at Ospreys is live on Premier Sports today at 5.30pm.

The World Darts Championships continues on Sky today at 12.30pm.
