Cork has around 30 beaches, but which is the finest? As part of our Cork Coasts series, the People’s Republic of Cork have picked out their favourite 16.

Today, they conclude the countdown from No.8 to No.1 - and readers now get the chance to have their say.

Over the next few weeks, our Cork coastlines will battle it out to see who will be crowned Corks best beach, by you, our readers.

In the first round of our competition, we saw Heir Island take on Garryvoe but now in round two Garrylucas, Garretstown goes head-to-head with Blind Strand, Courtmacsherry
