TELL us about yourself;

My name is Molly Lynch and I’m an actress, singer and general creative from Cork who lives in London. I have been lucky enough to be in the West End in musicals such as The Last Five Years, Carousel, The Light In The Piazza, Fiddler On The Roof, and Sunset Boulevard. I trained in the Cork School of Music and went on to be a student at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

Where were you born?

Cork, Bons Hospital.

Where do you live?

London.

Mum, dad, my sister Hannah, her husband Joe and son AJ, my brother Paddy, my husband Colin, my brother-in-law Ben and my dog Bobby.

My husband Colin.

Earliest childhood memory?

Seeing Santa in Blarney with my grandad Pat, his wife Chris and my cousin Jane. I think Santa came out of a helicopter but maybe I made that bit up?

Person you most admire?

Roy Keane.

Person who most irritates you?

Myself.

Where was your most memorable holiday?

Probably all the holidays in our mobile home in Castlegregory with my siblings, cousins and pals. We made up games, put on shows, and had sing-songs.

Favourite TV programme?

The Last Of Us - Bella Ramsey is incredible. It’s based on a video game. The story is so beautifully told. I think it’s a game-changer. You must watch this (that includes you, mum and dad, who do not take my recommendations seriously enough!)

Favourite radio show?

Oh, I don’t listen to radio because I’m faaaaar too young but I love Blindboy’s Podcast in my ears!

Your signature dish if cooking?

Frozen pizza - but only the Ristorante one because I’m classy like that.

Favourite restaurant?

McDonald’s. Plant burger, fries and coke.

Last book you read?

I’m a terrible reader. I’m more likely to read a play, and mostly recently I’ve read a lot of work by my friends, Lizzy Connolly and Joe Wright.

Best book you read?

My friend Adam Lenson wrote a book called Breaking Into Song: Why You Shouldn’t Hate Musicals. It’s perfect.

Last album/CD/download you bought?

At the mo, I’m constantly streaming Beyoncé’s new country album. She is god. Also listening to a lot of Fyfe Dangerfield - amazing stuff.

Favourite song?

When We Were Young - Pat Lynch and the Airchords.

One person you would like to see in concert?

Always my singing teacher from Cork School of Music - Mary Hegarty.

Do you have a pet?

Yes - Bobby the sproodle. He is the best!

Morning person or night owl?

Night owl for sure.

Your proudest moment?

Watching my sister become a mother.

Spendthrift or saver?

Spendthrift.

Name one thing you would improve in your area in which you live?

You can always have more doggies.

Coffee in the morning. Creamy cakes from SuperValu in Cork. Art. Theatre. Sondheim. My family and my friends.

As someone who tried their best.

Doing my best to support the Trans community.
