West Cork auctioneer Majella Galvin wins property industry award

Majella Galvin, director of West Cork based DNG Galvin Estate Agents scooped the national award for excellence in the property industry at the SCSI Surveying Excellence Awards 2023.

This award is in recognition of her exceptional professionalism and leadership skills within the property industry.

Ms Galvin’s distinction as a Chartered Member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) signifies the highest level of expertise, cementing her as a leading figure in the field.

Her roots in the family estate agency business, established more than 40 years ago by her late father Michael, have deeply influenced her career.

As chair of the SCSI Southern Region and chair of SCSI Public and Membership Affairs, Ms Galvin has excelled in property sales, valuations, and lettings, consistently delivering innovative service and exceptional results for clients.

Her dedication extends to simplifying property transactions through the upcoming launch of the DNG Property Advice Clinic in Spring 2024, aiming to empower individuals involved in property transactions.

She received her award at the SCSI National Property Conference which was held at the iconic Croke Park in Dublin in December 2023. Accepting the award Ms Galvin said: “Working in this industry has been an incredible journey for me. This award means so much to me.”
