INTERNATIONAL footwear brand Skechers has renewed its partnership with Cork Opera House for its panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.

The popular brand teamed up with the iconic Cork venue in 2022 for Sleeping Beauty and now returns in 2023 for a bigger run of the panto which is set to attract more than 60,000 patrons to the Opera House during the festive period, from last night.

“Skechers Ireland is thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the 2023 Cork Opera House panto, Jack and the Beanstalk,” said Paul Gallagher MD Shuz4U Ltd T/A Skechers Ireland.

“The Cork Opera House panto has long been a beloved tradition in our community, bringing families together over the festive period. Shuz4U Ltd proudly represents the Skechers brand in Ireland, with 23 stores throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland.

“Our roots are firmly planted in Cork, where our stores can be found in Opera Lane, Mahon Point, and Wilton, while our headquarters are located in Little Island.

“The Opera House panto holds a special place in our hearts, as many of us attend with our own families every year.

“It simply wouldn’t be Christmas without the panto, and we are overjoyed to be part of this festive celebration and contribute to spreading the Christmas spirit this year.”

Cork Opera House and Skechers also teamed up with Red FM to invite a Cork primary school class to Jack and the Beanstalk, in addition to kitting out the pupils in a brand new pair of Skechers each.

The students are not the only ones to benefit from a new pair of Skechers, as staff at Cork Opera House and members of the panto cast are also set to receive a pair over the coming week.
