Do you know this dog? Irish rail ask for help finding owners of pup found on Kildare tracks

Updated 11:21

Iarnród Éireann have taken to twitter to help find the owners of a dog who was found on the tracks in Kildare.

Oringinally, Irish Rail had said that the brown and black dog, who appears to be a terrier, apparently snuck on the train at Newbridge in Kildare and ended up at Heuston station in Dublin.

Irish Rail have since corrected themselves, clarifying that the dog never actually got on a train but that they were still looking for her owners.

However, this isn't the first canine to have wandered off off on a solo adventure.

Just a few months ago, in April, Hamish the dog made headlines when he arrived at Heuston Station early in the morning. Hamish even had a segment on RTE News.

Writing on twitter, Irish Rail said: "Another lost dog on the Kildare line!! This little lad boarded this morning at Newbridge, but is being looked after by Heuston staff at present. Can we find his owners?"
