NBA's Milwaukee Bucks boycott game over Jacob Blake shooting

One of the NBA's most prominent teams the Milwaukee Bucks have boycotted their scheduled playoff game in protest over the shooting of an unarmed African-American Jacob Blake on Sunday.

The team was due to play against the Orlando Magic in game 5 of the playoffs but they decided to stay in their locker room in protest.

One of the Buck's guards George Hill told reporters that "We're tired of the killings and the injustice."

The Magic were seen taking shots pregame, while the Bucks' half of the court was empty. The Magic left the court with 3:56 left until the scheduled tip.

One of the leagues' biggest stars Lebron James tweeted in support of the Bucks saying on Twitter "WE DEMAND CHANGE. SICK OF IT."

Jacob Blake was shot seven times by police on Sunday. A family attorney said that Blake is paralyzed and it would "take a miracle'' for him to walk again.

The incident happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin the same state that the Bucks play in.

The shooting sparked protests across the state and they have since turned violent, with two people being killed and one person being injured on Tuesday night. A 17-year-old youth was arrested after the incident.

The NBA recently announced that all games that were scheduled to take place tonight have been postponed.
