Cyclist (20s) seriously injured after hit-and-run in Dublin

A male cyclist in his 20s was seriously injured following a hit-and-run collision in Dublin on Tuesday.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on Tuesday morning at approximately 7:45am.

The collision involved a car and a male pedal cyclist.

The cyclist, aged in his 20s, was taken from the scene to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital with serious injuries.

The car left the scene.

The road is currently closed and the scene is being technically examined by local Crime Scene Investigators and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) from the area at the time are asked to make it available to investigating gardaí.
