JUST days after City Hall confirmed plans to consult the general public about the name of Cork's newest city centre bridge, one group of music fans have started a petition to get the structure named in honour of Rory Gallagher.

A PUBLIC consultation on the naming of Cork City centre's newest Bridge is to begin in the coming weeks. The currently unnamed Harley Street bridge is due to be completed in April 2019. Construction work started in July.
