TALES of homeward bound relations and near death experiences topped off a lovely trip around Mayfield this week. Denis Crowley, originally from West Cork, but living in Mayfield said: “It’s great to be alive” after surviving a near-death incident.

Festive feels were on the 208 this week as students prepared for their exams and Corkonians contemplated who gets what this Christmas while doing some shopping. Ellen Shiels, from Bandon was on the bus heading out to CIT, where she is in college.

A special Halloween bus tour was had by the Evening Echo on October 31st when we went on the 202 up to Knocknaheeny. We met Patrick Kaispel from Germany and Ines Serrano from Portugal dressed up for the day.

THE 202 bus, heading to Knocknaheeny, was packed with northside residents and Apple employees, happy to be in out of the rain on a wet Wednesday.
