Organisers of Cork’s Feis say they are hoping to resume activities next month after their plans to restart the festival were again put on hold.

The 2020 Feis is to resume within weeks, organisers have confirmed.

Less than 24 hours after officials confirmed that a second case of COVID-19 had been identified in Ireland, Feis Maitiú has announced new safety measures to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The 92nd Feis Maitiú Corcaigh festival got underway at Father Matthew Hall yesterday. 9,000 participants will take to the stage over the course of the seven-week festival in over 300 classes.
