WHILE most Grandads are content with comfy slippers, Michael Finnegan has opted for a pair of ice-skates instead. The 82-year old from Ballyvolane returned to the Cork on Ice rink last week marking over a decade since he took up skating.

Cork company Voxpro has announced the creation of 400 new jobs in Cork with plans to further expand their premises in Mahon. The expansion will see Voxpro’s total number of jobs in Ireland grow to 3,000 across Cork and Dublin and 5,000 globally.

CITY HALL has been told to “get to grips” with the repeated vandalism of the Mahon Point bus gate. Local councillors have described the current situation of persistent vandalism as “a basket case” that benefits nobody.
