A yellow wind warning has been issued for Cork on Sunday evening into Monday morning with a snow and ice warning issued for a number of other counties. This is the second wind warning for Cork, following on from Storm Bella which hit over the weekend.

Cork looks set for stormy Halloween this year with Met Éireann predicting a wet and windy October 31 this year.

Cork is in the midst of a status yellow wind warning from Met Eireann as Storm Dennis creeps closer. The Irish Meteorological Service has warned that south to southeast winds will reach 50 to 60 km/hr with gusts up to 90 to 100 km/hr.

A wind warning is in place for Cork this Sunday and Monday as Storm Atiyah travels between Iceland and Ireland generating very strong winds.

Update: Schools in Cork have been told to err on the side of caution when it comes to remaining open or closed for the duration of Storm Lorenzo.
