The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. The Big Swinging Mikeys 6pm, adm free

Born in the Folk House and a neighbouring apartment in Kinsale in the hot summer of 2013, the Big Swingin' Mikeys are a band that was set up as a "non-Saturday night" band.

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. What's That Sound 9pm, adm free

What's that sound? are a four piece Funk and Blues acoustic outfit consisting of four well established singer-songwriters (Joey Ryan, Pierre Morrisey, Evan Prendergast and Clare Sands). What's that sound? carry themselves with a tight yet relaxed atmosphere.

Upstairs at the Oliver Plunkets 'Frisky Whiskey' bar 'Ceol Coolroe' will be playing. The Traditional Irish Music Session is sure to be full of "ceol agus craic".

Charlie's, Union Quay Lee Trad Music Sessions 3pm, adm free

One of the longest traditional music Sessions is in Charlie’s bar every Sunday at 3 pm. The Session is hosted by Cork’s own Sean O’Driscoll, both a sweet and rhythmic bango player and a fine hand on the old style button accordion , along with his wife Mary O’Driscoll on the fiddle. To keep the Sessions fresh and real, each Sunday features a different guest musician, an ever changing array from some of Cork’s and Ireland’s finest traditional players. 

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place Hank Wedel 8pm, adm free

Hank Wedel needs no introduction to the people of Cork. A legend on the Live scene for the last 20 plus years he has entertained the masses with a beautiful mix of classic hits and self penned numbers. Always guaranteed a great show Hank really must be experienced up close and personal.

Reardens, Washington St. Kilkennys 10.30pm, adm free

The Kilkennys are a four-piece traditional Irish ballad group, who have been entertaining audiences all over the country, and internationally for the past ten years, with their unique and accomplished style of playing and vocal talent. 

Dwyers Of Cork, 28 Washington St. Briony O'Toole Trio 9pm, adm free

If you are looking for a mix of funk and jazz, this is the band for you. Known for their great music, the Briony O'Toole trio has been gigging around Cork City and the rest of the country, spreading the joy their funky jazz brings with every performance. 

The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the “Trad Session” for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures. They have been tutored in all forms of music, classical, jazz, folk and blues but in some way all are drawn to the allure of traditional Irish music. 

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. Salsa By The Lee 3pm, adm €5

Ceili By The Lee is running this special event in aid of Medicines Sans Frontiéres . Come and learn some Salsa Moves in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. The Tan Jackets 11.50pm, adm free

The Tan Jackets perform covers of song by bands often to referred to as punk rock and 60’s psychedelia, from Them, The Sonics, MC5 and a few more. Dirty Dancing for Dirty Dancers.

Sin É, Coburg St. The Lee Sessions 5.30pm, 7pm and 8.30pm  adm free

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. 

Charlie's, Union Quay The Lee Sessions 3pm, adm free

Supported by Cork City Council, this trad session series runs all year round, and features world-class musicians and singers, in Cork's most iconic bars.

An Spailpín Fánach, South Main St. The Lee Sessions 9.30pm, adm free

These renowned sessions, which enhance Cork's reputation as THE traditional music capital, are an absolute must-see, for locals and visitors alike!


Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St. Sandra Hickey – Where Two Styles Meet – Loving Vincent Inspired 10 am, adm free

This exhibition will contain two bodies of work by Cork-based artist Sandra Hickey.

When We — Allie Hankins and Rachael Dichter, Triskel Arts Centre, 3pm

Set in an austere world characterized by coded language, penetrating focus, and biting humour, Allie and Rachael skilfully utilize the expansive and charged moments between events to slowly reveal a world where tension is currency, mischief is sustenance, and surreality is a given.


Ionad Cultúrtha, Baile Mhúirne, Co Chorcaí 'Ex-voto Naomh Ghobnatan' 10 am, adm free

Alys Tomlinson is an award-winning editorial and fine art photographer based in London. 


Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St. Asylum Archive – Vukašin Nedeljković 10 am, adm free

The Asylum Archive is an art, activist and academic platform that examines the notion of Direct Provision Centres; the localities and sites where asylum seekers are being held while in the process of seeking refugee status.
