The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the “Trad Session” for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures.

Brú Bar & Hostel, 57 MacCurtain St. Something Different with Ruairi De Leaster & Guests 9pm, adm free

Ruairí de Leastar has performed countless gigs in various forms of bands, duos or solo acts over the last 15 years. Having shared the stage with acts such as foy Vance, Duke special, Lisa hannigan & Jerry fish, he has been learning from the best and honing his own style. Ruairí has a vocal range that can swell over an audience and fill a room full of emotion and swoop with elasticity from the depths up to soaring heights.

Cork's finest Trad & Folk session in one of the city's few remaining traditional Irish pubs.

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. The Watermelons 11.50pm, adm free

The Watermelons are a four piece blues band based in Cork. With a line up, consisting of drums, bass , guitar and sax, the band boasts some of corks finest musicians. The set journeys from Chicago blues to blues-rock containing blistering tracks from Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, The Allman Brothers, Junior Wells, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendric etc. 

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. Open Jam Session -Rhythm’n’Blues/Soul 9pm, adm free

New Jam night focusing on the rhythm-based music of the late 60’s and early 70’s, featuring the music of The Meters, James Brown, Grant Green, Herbie Hancock et al. 


Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St. Asylum Archive – Vukašin Nedeljković 10 am, adm free

The Asylum Archive is an art, activist and academic platform that examines the notion of Direct Provision Centres; the localities and sites where asylum seekers are being held while in the process of seeking refugee status.
