Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Trad Session 9pm, adm free 

A weekly trad session with a mix of jigs and reels and great Irish songs in both Irish and English. With a bit of gypsy jazz and hillbilly thrown in the mix it's always a lively session.

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place Leif 9.30pm, adm free

Leif comprise of Eoin O’ Brien and Conor O’ Sullivan, two of Cork's finest musicians. They will take you on an eclectic journey through some of Irelands finest tunes and ballads. A candlelit, stove side trad session that really has to be seen to be believed. Locals and staff have even been known to get involved and give a blast!

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. The Lee Sessions 9.30pm, adm free

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. Supported by Cork City Council, this trad session series runs all year round, and features world-class musicians and singers, in Cork's most iconic bars. These renowned sessions, which enhance Cork's reputation as THE traditional music capital, are an absolute must-see, for locals and visitors alike! This brilliant session, featuring some of the country’s finest traditional musicians, takes place in The Oliver Plunkett, one of Cork's longest established trad music houses.

Everyman Theatre, Tuesday to Thursday, Charlie's a Clepto, 8pm, tickets €20 or €18 with concession

A play nominated for Best New Play and Best Actress,m Charlie's a Clepto, is at the Irish Times Theatre Awards is at the Everyman. 

Charlie is a kleptomaniac – the doctor told her. Reckons it stems from childhood trauma. But she has the robbin’ completely under control these days. For real.

She has a bit of a mouth on her, but she’s only trying to be funny, give everyone a laugh, not cause trouble, like. Not today, of all days. She loves that little boy more than she ever thought it was possible to love another human. There’s a lot riding on these 24 hours, and if she keeps her head down, she’ll get him back.

Everyone has a story to tell… but… there’s a time and a place. This is neither. Follow Charlie, the queen of self-sabotage as she tries desperately – for once in her life – to keep her mouth shut long enough to make it count.
