Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. Kurt Cobain 25 Year Anniversary - Paradox Play Nirvana 9pm, adm free

Cork-based Alternative Rockers Paradox are back at the Crane Lane Theatre for a fifth year in a row playing a full set of Nirvana tunes in memory of Kurt Cobain who passed away 25 years ago this April. 

Dwyers Of Cork, 28 Washington St. The Ill Winds 10.30pm, adm free

The Ill Winds are a three piece “traditional meets contemporary” band, based in Cork City, Ireland. The band have become known for combining old with new, classic with modern, all with a signature Irish twist. 

Charlie's, Union Quay Crow Black Chicken 10.30pm, adm free

Since forming in 2009, Crow Black Chicken have earned back-pats aplenty for their dirty southern Blues sounds. This power trio of Christy O’Hanlon (vocals, guitar), Stephen McGrath (bass) and Gev Barrett (drums, backing vocals) combine elements of folk and hard rock with the blues rock of bands like Gov’t mule, Lynyrd Skynyrd and LED Zeppelin to create their greasy blues-rock sound.

Hugh Dillion and Martin Ryan make up The Barefoot Gypsies. Covering the very best of The Beatles, Tom Petty, Travelling Wilburys and many more.

The Gables, Douglas St. Music For Humans 10pm, adm free

Music for Humans are a two-piece cover band consisting of Dan O’Keeffe and Dave Murray. The duo perform songs drawn from multiple eras and genres and never shy away from a request.

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. Bedrock 9.30pm, adm free

Full of energy, highly entertaining and topped to the brim with quality musicianship and vocalists. Formerly known as Reconnect, Bedrock is a re-branding of this excellent group fronted by the enigmatic Jenny O'Keeffe. 

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. Andy Dunne 11.30 am, adm free

First and foremost Andy Dunne is an Entertainer. He has developed a style of Guitar playing that (although detrimental to any kind of guitar string!) is powerful, full and rhythmic yet when required it can also be tender and touching. The same can be said for his vocals. 

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. The Frets 7pm, adm free

The Frets are a guitar/vocals and mandolin duo based in Cork city, who play a wide variety of music, ranging from jazz swing, country rock, bluegrass and instrumental traditional music from Ireland, America Scandinavia,Greece and Italy. 

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. Clann Eireann 10pm, adm free

Clann Eireann is a traditional Irish folk/ballad band from Cork city that plays songs of culture, resistance, history and of course peace and reconciliation.

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. 


Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. DJ Fadd Jnr 11pm, adm free

Mixed and scratched by Fadd Jnr, an alternative musical take on Saturday night club music. Expect classic electro cuts, indie fused pop and a mixture of Rock’n’Roll staples, along with plenty of new upbeat tunes for your dancing pleasure.


City Limits, Coburg St. Patrick Murray Plug Guests 9pm, adm €18

Patrick Murray is one of the top acts around Ireland at the moment, a favourite at all the established comedy clubs. He is also an established actor appearing in television on 'Love/Hate', Primeval, 'Can't Cope Won't Cope' and movies such as "You're Ugly Too" and Intermission. Patser has performed improvised skits with Jimmy Carr and has worked with Jason Byrne and Al Porter to name a few.
