Charlie's, Union Quay Lee Trad Music Sessions 3pm, adm free

One of the longest traditional music Sessions is in Charlie’s bar every Sunday. The Session is hosted by Cork’s own Sean O’Driscoll, both a sweet and rhythmic bango player and a fine hand on the old style button accordion , along with his wife Mary O’Driscoll on the fiddle. To keep the Sessions fresh and real, each Sunday features a different guest musician, an ever-changing array from some of Cork’s and Ireland’s finest traditional players.

Jack is an incredible solo act and his repertoire is absolutely incredible. It even includes a solo version of Bohemian Rhapsody.  A fantastic guitar player with a voice to match. Come see this man in action and you will not be disappointed.

Ballymaloe Grainstore, Shanagarry, Remembering Joe - The Joe Dolan Show, am €30, 8pm

The Dolan Family present Remembering Joe - The Joe Dolan Show - As It Was, a musical tribute to their late uncle and brother, in Ballymaloe Grainstore. Joe shared the stage with his younger brother Ben for 47 fun-filled years. Who better than Ben to highlight Joe’s extraordinary singing career? Remembering Joe also features Ben’s daughter Sandra, sons Ray and Adrian, along with Karen Carroll, and the original Joe Dolan Band.

Dwyers Of Cork, 28 Washington St. Briony O'Toole Trio 7pm, adm free

If you are looking for a mix of funk and jazz, this is the band for you. Known for their great music, the Briony O'Toole trio has been gigging around Cork City and the rest of the country, spreading the joy their funky jazz brings with every performance. This is a gig not to be missed!

The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the “Trad Session” for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures. They have been tutored in all forms of music, classical, jazz, folk and blues but in some way all are drawn to the allure of traditional Irish music.

A lively fun Sunday jazz session in our beer garden, joined by some of Cork's best swing dancers, this weekly event offers a relaxed end-of-weekend, with the space to bop along too! With influences including Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Oscar Peterson and a plethora of many other jazz giants, Pinky Trolley bring a classic approach to equally classic music.

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. The Big Swinging Mikies 6pm, adm free

Born in the Folk House and a neighbouring apartment in Kinsale in the hot summer of 2013, the Big Swingin' Mikies are a band that was set up as a "non-Saturday night" band. With its members having other projects for the weekend nights, we decided we wanted a different feel from all that.

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. What's That Sound? 9pm, adm free

What's That Sound? are a four piece Blues/Rock n' Roll/ Acoustic band hailing from the vibrant musical city of Cork. The band see's four accomplished and talented musicians, Joey Ryan (vocals/guitar) Ben Cooper (drums) Clare Sands (violin/harmonicas/vocals) and Pierre Morissey (vocals/ electric guitar) unite to form a sound that is unique, energetic, and exhilarating for audiences young and old. From Springsteen to Muddy Waters, to Paul Simon, Sunday nights in the Oliver Plunkett are a night not to be missed.

Soul Driven, eight piece groove masters, have been kicking down venue doors all over the country with their hard-hitting, brass infused mixture of soul, funk, jazz and blues.

Blues Jam session every Sunday from 9pm to 11pm. All players are welcome to the stage and featuring Gerry Quigley & The Dirty Blues Band as the house band. Prepare to be captivated as Gerry Quigley and The Dirty Blues Band house band take the stage for a night of laid-back and classy blues. Sundays is musicians jam night, all blues musicians welcome to join the band for some fun, laughter and music on stage. They have a Fender Tele and Marshall 100w amp for visiting guitarists.

The Asylum Archive is an art, activist and academic platform that examines the notion of Direct Provision Centres; the localities and sites where asylum seekers are being held while in the process of seeking refugee status.
