Reardens, Washington St. The Kilkennys 10.30pm, adm free

The Kilkennys are a four-piece traditional Irish ballad group, who have been entertaining audiences all over the country, and internationally for the past ten years, with their unique and accomplished style of playing and vocal talent. 

Cyprus Avenue, Caroline St. Sorcha Richardson 8pm, adm €12.50

Sorcha Richardson is a singer/songwriter from Dublin. She formed her first band with two friends from school when she was 10-years-old and has been making music ever since. Her brand of alternative indie rock has been championed by the likes of Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show, featured in The Fader and DIY, and has amassed over 20-million streams on Spotify.  Sorcha’s highly anticipated debut album was launched in Whelan’s on May 24 and her first ever Cork headline show is on May 26.

"Folk is undergoing something of a renaissance at the minute, as the kick against fake everything heralds a yearning for authenticity from food to music. It doesn't get more authentic than Lisa O'Neill, who seems genetically incapable of falsehood, fiction or affectation. A special talent indeed. So said Hot Press Magazine.

Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Brewhouse Jazz 6.30pm, adm free

A lively fun Sunday jazz session in our beer garden, joined by some of Corks best swing dancers, this weekly event offers a relaxed end-of-weekend, with the space to bop along too! With influences including Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Oscar Peterson and a plethora of many other jazz giants, Pinky Trolley bring a classic approach to equally classic music.

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place The Velvetones 8pm, adm free

Tony & Audrey, another long-established act here at The Welcome. Classic songs in acoustic style is the order of the day! Hits from Gilbert O’Sullivan, Albert Hammond and Steely Dan are all performed with enthusiasm and a precision that we have gladly become accustomed to here in the bar, this coupled with the charismatic Audrey Lynch has been a runaway success with our punters and is truly a gig that must be seen to be believed – not to be missed.

 Charlie's, Union Quay Lee Trad Music Sessions 3pm, adm free

One of the longest traditional music Sessions is in Charlie's bar every Sunday. The session is hosted by Cork's own Sean O'Driscoll, both a sweet and rhythmic banjo player and a fine hand on the old style button accordion, along with his wife Mary O'Driscoll on the fiddle. To keep the sessions fresh and real, each Sunday features a different guest musician, an ever-changing array from some of Cork's and Ireland's finest traditional players.

The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the 'Trad Session' for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures. They have been tutored in all forms of music, classical, jazz, folk and blues but in some way all are drawn to the allure of traditional Irish music.

The Roundy, Castle St. Paddy Mulcahy - How To Disappear - Album Launch 7.30pm, adm €6/€8/€10

Join Paddy Mulcahy for an evening of live electronic and piano music as he launches the single from his forthcoming album "How To Disappear." Paddy is a composer and producer from Limerick City.

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. Sunday Blues Jam with Gerry Quigley & The Durty Blues Band 9pm, adm free

Blues Jam session every Sunday from 9-11pm. All players are welcome to the stage and featuring Gerry Quigley & The Dirty Blues Band as the house band. Sundays are musicians jam night, all blues musicians welcome to join the band for some fun, laughter and music on stage!

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. Souldriven 11.50pm, adm free

Soul Driven are an eight piece groove masters who entertain with their hard-hitting, brass infused mixture of soul, funk, jazz and blues.

An Spailpín Fánach, South Main St The Lee Sessions 9.30pm, adm free

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city.

Turners Cross Tavern, Turners Cross The Lee Sessions 8pm, adm free

Supported by Cork City Council, this trad session series runs all year round, and features world-class musicians and singers, in Cork's most iconic bars. 


Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Sunday Confessions 6pm, adm free

This is the venue's newest addition, the MONK cocktail bar. Every Sunday from 6pm join Stephen (mixologist ) for board games, live music, wine specials, cocktails and Pompeii meat & cheese boards.
