Prewar Delta Blues, Chicago blues and Fingerpicking Ragtime Guaranteed to get yer feet stompin'and yer night rompin'! Stomp Train is a collaboration in the blues between three continents that has come together in Cork Ireland. Alessio Calletti, originally from Italy, has played the blues as long as he can remember. Jorge Kachmari, originally from United States, plays clarinet and fiddle and backing vocals. Jono Skinner , originally from Zimbabwe, anchors the band with his percussive beats. 

Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. The Underscore Orkestra Trio 11.30pm, adm free The Underscore Orkestra Trio play hot jazz and New Orleans style swing as well as some Balkan and Klezmer folk and Americana. 

Cyprus Avenue, Caroline St. Strange Attractor 7.30pm, adm €10

Strange Attractor are a Funk/Pop outfit formed in Dingle, Co. Kerry. The band include Ben Bickerdike on Lead Vocals, Fionn O' Neill on vocals/guitar, Mattie Barker on lead guitar, Cian O'Sullivan on drums and Ben Janning on bass. 

Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Trad Session 9pm, adm free

A weekly trad session with a mix of jigs and reels and great Irish songs in both Irish and English. With a bit of gypsy jazz and hillbilly thrown in the mix it's always a lively session.

Reardens, Washington St. 3 Of A Kind 1.30pm, adm free

Craic agus Ceol with live music from 3 of a Kind from 10:30 pm in Reardens Bar. Food served until late.

The Oliver Plunkett, Oliver Plunkett St. Traditional Irish Dinner and Show 7pm, adm free

Get a taste of real authentic trad music at one of Dwyers Sessions. The best of Irish musicians accompanied from time to time by talented Irish dancers.

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city.

Sin É, Coburg St. The Lee Sessions 6.30pm, 8pm and 9.30pm adm free

Supported by Cork City Council, this trad session series runs all year round, and features world-class musicians and singers, in Cork's most iconic bars.


Coughlan's, Douglas St. Comedy Cavern: Damo Clarke and Guests 8.30pm, adm free 

The Comedy Cavern is an alternative Comedy Club, located in Coughlans pub on Douglas Street. Some gigs are open mics, some feature the best of Cork comedy, they also run "Fringe Interests" nights featuring the best shows from last years Edinburgh Fringe, preview nights where acts try out this year's Edinburgh show, and they occasionally have top class professional comics like Joe Rooney and Al Lubel gracing the stage. Gigs take place every Tuesday. Most gigs are free in, and you can pay what you think the show is worth at the end 

The Roundy, Castle St. Snatch Comedy Improv 9pm, adm €5

Established in 2002, Snatch Comedy Improv is the longest-running improvised show outside of Dublin. Sketches and scenes are made up of the spot using audience suggestions as the inspiration. It's unpredictable, chaotic and always fun.
