Zimbabwe-born and Dublin raised, hip-hop artist Percy Chamburuka known better by his stage name, Jafaris performs.

The Barefoot Gypsies and they are one band you don't want to miss. A four piece rock and roll band covering the very best of The Beatles, Tom Petty, Travelling Wilburys and many more.

Triskel Arts Centre, Tobin St. The Danu Quartet and The Vanir Quartet 1pm, adm €10 / €5

Quartets At Triskel The National String Quartet Foundation introduces two talented young quartets from CIT Cork School of Music. Their programme includes the first of Shostakovich’s fifteen string quartets, the premiere of a new quartet by Cork-based composer Ian Wilson, and one of just three quartets that Brahms allowed to be published, having destroyed some twenty earlier attempts.

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place Tim Mullane 10.30pm, adm free

Tim Mullane has been wowing audiences for many years now, an energetic and very accomplished musician he has been known to cover everything from Neil Young to the Bee Gees and everything in between.

The Gables, Douglas St. Fintan Lucy 10pm, adm free

Fintan, already a seasoned busker, started gigging solo around Cork city in the mid 80s, and soon found himself on the Irish trad pub circuit, singing and backing tunes. He was a member of folk/trad bands Duchas and Pluckfocailwindskin, and the acoustic rock harmony band The Phintones. As a solo act he has performed around Ireland and in New York, England, Wales, Spain and Switzerland.

Charlie's, Union Quay Sugar Mountain 10.30pm, adm free

A energetic five piece Americana/country/blues band. Mixed bag of bass, drums, violin, guitar & vocals. Featuring one of our own Martin Moylett originally with Princes Street & The Mojo Rejects.

Sin É, Coburg St. The Lee Sessions 6.30pm, 8pm and 9.30pm adm free

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. 


Crane Lane Theatre, Phoenix St. DJ Fadd Jnr 11.50pm, adm free

Mixed and scratched by Fadd Jnr, an alternative musical take on Saturday night club music. Expect classic electro cuts, indie fused pop and a mixture of Rock n Roll staples, along with plenty of new upbeat tunes for your dancing pleasure.

The boys are back with another night of select cuts of deep house and techno.


City Limits Comedy Club, Coburg Street, Patrick Murray plus guests, admin €18, doors 8.30pm

Patrick Murray is one of the top acts around Ireland at the moment, a favourite at all the established comedy clubs.

He is also an established actor appearing in television on 'Love/Hate', Primeval, 'Can't Cope Won't Cope' and movies such as "You're Ugly Too" and Intermission.

Patrick has performed improvised skits with Jimmy Carr and has worked with Jason Byrne and Al Porter to name a few.
