Bandleader, bassist, vocalist and arranger, Jerome Rimson (the Detroit Hit Man) has had the honour of performing with many of the best known artists in world of music. 

Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Brewhouse Jazz 6.30pm, adm free

A lively fun Sunday jazz session in the beer garden, joined by some of Cork's best swing dancers.

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place Jack Ahern 8pm, adm free

Jack is an incredible solo act. A fantastic guitar player with a voice to match. 

Charlie's, Union Quay Lee Trad Music Sessions 3pm, adm free

One of the longest traditional music sessions is in Charlie's bar every Sunday. The session is hosted by Cork's own Sean O'Driscoll, both a sweet and rhythmic banjo player and a fine hand on the old style button accordion, along with his wife Mary O'Driscoll on the fiddle. To keep the sessions fresh and real, each Sunday features a different guest musician, an ever changing array from some of Cork's and Ireland's finest traditional players.

The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the Trad Session for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures. They have been tutored in all forms of music, classical, jazz, folk and blues but in some way all are drawn to the allure of traditional Irish music.

Ceara Hurley has been singing since the age of seven when she auditioned for her school choir. Ceara very quickly became involved in the various competitions and opportunities that her school provided including musicals, choirs etc. She studied Bachelor of Music in U.C.C. and has an extensive knowledge of various genres of music. Ceara has performed with various bands including My Evil Ex, Dr. Dynamite, Kilterr and has performed in many different venues throughout Cork. Most recently she has done backing vocals for Karen Underwood who strongly encouraged Ceara to start her own band and ‘Ceara Hurley and Band’ was born.

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. 

Turners Cross Tavern, Turners Cross The Lee Sessions 8pm, adm free

Supported by Cork City Council, this trad session series runs all year round, and features world-class musicians and singers, in Cork's most iconic bars.
