The Beatlebums are the one and only Cork-based tribute band to the Fab Four. Featuring Kevin O’Shea (Vocals / Guitar), Robbie Barron (Vocals / Guitar), Declan O’Shea (Vocals / Bass), Diarmait Mac Cárthaigh (Vocals / Keys) and Dan Walsh (Vocals / Drums). The Beatlebums‘ repetoire ranges from the early days of the Beatles, right up until their dissolution in 1970.

Jason Lytle (of Grandaddy) and special guest Malojian. For a special intimate show on Sunday May 5. Jason Lytle first wandered into the public consciousness as the principal singer and songwriter for the band Grandaddy. Formed in Modesto, CA in 1992, and eventually consisting of Lytle along with Aaron Burtch, Tim Dryden, Jim Fairchild and Kevin Garcia, the band initially broke through with 1997's 'Under the Western Freeway' and the NME-praised single 'Summer Here Kids'.  Jason currently lives in Montana, and enjoys hiking in woods, skateboarding in skateparks, bicycling on anything, skiing on mountains, playing the piano in his living room, and recording music, and occasionally playing show.

The Gables, Douglas St. Traditional Irish Music Session 9.30pm, adm free

The Gables is home to the “Trad Session” for over 30 years. The session has been visited by travelling musicians from far and wide with many diverse cultures. They have been tutored in all forms of music, classical, jazz, folk and blues but in some way all are drawn to the allure of traditional Irish music. 

Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Brewhouse Jazz 6.30pm, adm free

A lively fun Sunday jazz session in the beergarden, joined by some of Cork's best swing dancers, this weekly event offers a relaxed end-of-weekend, with the space to bop along too! With influences including Django Reinhardt, Stéphane Grappelli, Oscar Peterson and a plethora of many other jazz giants, Pinky Trolley bring a classic approach to equally classic music.

The Welcome Inn, Parnell Place The Velvetones 8pm, adm free

Tony and Audrey, another long-established act at The Welcome. Classic songs in acoustic style is the order of the day. Hits from Gilbert O’ Sullivan, Albert Hammond and Steely Dan are all performed with enthusiasm and precision.

Sin É, Coburg St. The Lee Sessions 5.30pm, 7pm and 8.30pm adm free

The Lee Sessions is the umbrella term for all authentic, traditional Irish music sessions in Cork city. 


Franciscan Well Brew Pub, North Mall Sunday Confessions 6pm, adm free
