Garda Youth Awards Nomination Form

Do you know a young person who deserves recognition? Tell us about them! 

The Juvenile liaison officers of Cork City Garda Division in association with The Echo and the Rochestown Park Hotel are holding awards for young people between the ages of 13 and 21 years, male and female. These awards recognise the very positive contribution young people are making in their communities. 

Awards will be considered for nominated young people who by their activities make their communities a better place to live or who have shown great determination in their own lives.

Awards will be presented to the winners at a function in the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork on Wednesday, November 28th 2019.


1. Awards are confined to those young people who are aged between 13 and 21 years on 31st August 2019.

2. Permanent residence of the young person must be in the Garda Division in which they are nominated.

3. Awards are confined to individuals and groups of two or more people.

4. Judges decision is final.

5. The Judging Panel will decide upon one nominee in each category to go forward to represent the Division at the National Garda Youth Awards.

6. Any member of the public may nominate anyone whom they feel deserves an award.

7. Nominations may be submitted by family members or relatives.

8. Previous award winners are not eligible.

9. Forms must be signed by a nominator and co-nominator.

10. Please note that the Garda Youth Awards at Divisional and National level will receive media attention. Each award winner must sign a publication consent form.If consent is not given, you will still receive your award, but we will not be in a position to publicise you receiving the award at the award ceremony.
