FOTA ISLAND Golf Club are running a golf academy from this Monday to Friday, April 7.

The Fota Island Golf Academy will open its doors to keen golfers for the week between 10am and 6pm allowing guests to experience the finest and most comprehensive golf training facilities in the country as well as allowing guests the opportunity to hit some balls and play the Barryscourt 9.

The initiative will be ideal for those who want to improve their game, with the Fota Island Golf Academy offering a sophisticated analysis of swing, putt and technique, as well as excellent, comfortable and relaxing surroundings and invaluable advice from professional trainers along with expert tuition. 

As Ireland’s newest and most modern golf academy, Fota Island has covered bays and an indoor putting green for practice during inclement weather, two large teaching rooms with the latest hi-tech video and computer systems and a full array of teaching aids.

This includes state-of-the-art computerised analysis, such as the newly added Trackman, as well as the services of the club professionals Brian Kelleher and Ronan Collins.

The Fota Island Golf Academy Open Week will also feature the demos and club fitting sessions by Ping, Mizuno and Titleist.
