WATCH: Beaumont, Douglas and Ballynoe celebrate Sciath na Scol hurling success

WELL-TIMED, after the Cork hurlers' fantastic victory in Thurles last weekend, the first of a series of Sciath na Scol finals drew a big crowd to CIT on Monday.

There were scenes of joy and disappointment, as the pupils from six Leeside schools battled it out for the prestigious trophies.

City side Beaumont NS got the better of Carrigtwohill 3-7 to 1-2 thanks to the sharp-shooting of Ryan Sweeney.
