CORK players will have to front up tonight if Munster are to get a huge weekend of rugby off to a winning start.

Munster A coach Peter Malone will send an all-Cork front-row out tonight in Musgrave Park to bring the battle to Jersey Reds in the final of the B & I Cup, 7.30pm.

Peter McCabe, Kevin O’Byrne and Brian Scott make up the front row of a Cork front five with John Madigan and Darren O’Shea also from the Rebel County. Gavin Coombes from west Cork starts at number six in a Cork dominated pack.

The side is captained tonight by former Dolphin centre Cian Bohane with John Poland the starting scrum half for this evening’s decider.

Munster A will be aiming for their first B & I Cup title since 2012 and will want to make a winning start to a weekend that will see the senior side play in the European Champions Cup semi-final in the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night.

Should the Reds front row run out of steam in tonight’s final, then Malone call on three more Corkmen to replace them with Duncan Casey, Liam O’Connor and Rory Burke all on the bench and that is a huge possibility given the type of game that the Channel Islanders like to play.

The visitors haven’t done particularly well on their travels this season and Munster will be hoping to keep that trend going and lift their first piece of silverware of the season.

MUNSTER A: Stephen Fitzgerald; Dan Goggin, Sam Arnold, Cian Bohane – capt., Alex Wootton; David Johnston, John Poland; Peter McCabe, Kevin O’Byrne, Brian Scott; John Madigan, Darren O’Shea; Gavin Coombes, Conor Oliver, Robin Copeland.

Replacements: Duncan Casey, Liam O’Connor, Rory Burke, Mark Chisholm, Sean O’Connor, Abrie Griesel, Greg O’Shea.
