MUNSTER full-back Simon Zebo has vowed that Munster will come back stronger from Saturday’s loss to Saracens.

While he has been in losing Munster sides in the knockout stages before says defeat doesn’t get any easier.

“It’s just that dejected feeling where you come into a match hoping for one outcome and it goes the other way and it was just one of those moments where, I've been in quite a few losing quarter-finals and semi-finals, knockout stages of Europe with this team, it doesn't get any easier the older you get. I just wanted to reflect on where we went wrong, have my own little space.

"But we're a mentally tough side, you've seen that throughout the season, and I've no doubt this side is more than capable of coming back, fighting even stronger."

His coach Rassie Erasmus agreed and said that Munster must learn from games like the semi-final and learn to deal with pressure situations.

He was happy with how his side had played for the first 50-odd minutes but said they will have to learn how to turn their pressure into points when they get the opportunities.

“I think if we score the opportunities we had, I'm not saying we'd have had a better chance in the game, but the way we played the first 45/50 minutes, especially when they were down to seven men in the lineout, if we scored a try when we were so close to the try line, I really think the match might have been closer.

“I'm not saying at all we would have won the game. I think they executed really well, but then I thought the last 25 minutes, we were totally off the ball, for various reasons.

“We couldn't dominate we just had two loose forwards off, CJ struggling in the last 25 minutes, not match fit, then Jean Deysel playing with a fractured rib, then the platform for Duncan and for Tyler was not as great as the first 45-50 minutes.

“I think they played really well for 50 minutes and then for various reasons, the pressure and the heat they put on the box kicks, and our 10, they just upped another level the last 25 minutes.

"Overall they did well, but the pressure really told in the last 25 on us."
