THE good news for Cork basketball fans is that UCC Demons brothers Ciarán and Adrian O’Sullivan are named in the Irish Senior Men’s for their trip to Scotland on Friday.

The O'Sullivan brothers have been part of the Irish squad for the past few years, but with new coach Pete Strickland now picking the team, it is great that the two Demons' lads have made the squad once again.

Both are expected to play a major part in the two games over this weekend.

The two-game series takes place in the Oriam High Performance Centre in Edinburgh from June 9th-11th and will see Ireland pitting their skills against Scotland and Wales.

For coach Pete Strickland this will be a goos tournament to gauge the progress of his side.

“We are missing a couple of key guys but that’s an opportunity for other squad members to step up which is what this is all about,” said Pete Strickland.

“Everybody’s excited ahead of the trip and proud to be representing Ireland and with the mood in our camp is positive but hopefully we will produce a couple of good performances.”
