DOLPHIN’S Rory Scannell makes his first start of the season in Scotstoun this evening, 7.35pm as Munster’s director of rugby Rassie Erasmus makes just one change to the side that beat Ospreys last weekend.
Scannell will start alongside Chris Farrell against Glasgow Warriors in a matchday squad that once again sees Simon Zebo start on the bench as Munster look to keep their good run going with a fourth win on the bounce.
Liam O’Connor retains his place in the starting lineup at loosehead with Dave Kilcoyne on the bench at the expense of James Cronin.
The rest of the side that started against Ospreys are retained with Erasmus choosing to give Keith Earls, CJ Stander and Peter O’Mahony another week off.
Fineen Wycherly and James Hart are the only non-internationals on the Reds bench.
Meanwhile, former Munster great Ronan O’Gara has paid a moving tribute to ex Munster press officer Pat Geraghty who passed away earlier in the week after an illness.
“Death is an awful thing. I wanted to see him (Geraghty) before he went. Alan Gaffney did the same, flying from Australia to visit Pat in the hospice
“That was really decent, but it’s something he’d do himself for those close to him. Sitting at the bottom of the bed last week, I wasn’t sure he recognised his visitor until he growled back at me. Then for a moment we were back in those moments, eyeballing each other as Geraghty told you what’s what.”
