MUNSTER rugby officials were left red-faced at an 'administrative error' which forced a redraw of the first round of the prestigious senior cup, due to start this day week.

And it has left five of the six Cork clubs cursing their bad luck because instead of having home advantage, they must all now travel for away ties.

Midleton are the only Cork club unaffected by the cock-up as they were still handed a home game against Old Crescent, having been paired with Garryowen originally.

Holders, Cork Constitution, were supposed to be at home to UL Bohemians, but now find themselves travelling to Limerick to play Shannon.

The planned Musgrave Park derby between Sundays Well and Dolphin has also been dumped.

The Well now head for Bruff instead with their neighbours facing Garryowen at Dooradoyle.

Highfield were scheduled to host Bruff, but find themselves facing into a daunting challenge against Young Munster at Tom Clifford Park.

And UCC, who should have been entertaining Crescent at the Mardyke, must pop up the road to Cashel.

The revised draw is: round 1: Cashel v UCC, Nenagh v UL Bohemians, Shannon v Cork Constitution, Bruff v Sundays Well, Young Munster v Highfield, Garryowen v Dolphin, Midleton v Old Crescent.

Quarter-finals: Garryowen or Dolphin v Young Munster or Highfield, Midleton or Old Crescent v Nenagh or UL Bohs, Cashel or UCC v Shannon or Cork Con. Bye Bruff or Sundays Well. Games fixed for October 21.
