Laura Crowe was the first to cross the finish line in today's Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon, writes Steve Neville.
The Riocht Athletics Club runner finished ahead of Leevale's Michelle Finn in second.
Thousands of runners took part in the annual road race with the finish line at Kennedy Park.
Cork's Lady Mayoress Georgina Fitzgerald was greeted by her husband, Lord Mayor Cllr. Tony Fitzgerald at the finish line.
The Evening Echo Women's Mini Marathon got underway this afternoon.
The race features runners of all ages and abilities, with some running with their athletics clubs, other for fun and more running the race for charity.

The race starts at the city end of Centre Park Road and heads through The Marina, Blackrock Village, Ballintemple, Maryville, Monahan Road before finishing in Kennedy Park.
Two Cork legends were also on hand to inspire the runners before the race.
All-Ireland Camogie winners Rena Buckley and Gemma O'Connor had the O'Duffy Cup in hand as they were announced to the crowd by Evening Echo editor Maurice Gubbins.
And of course, the star duo couldn't leave without a song.
The crowd sang a fitting rendition of Queen's We Are The Champions, with Buckley and O'Connor waving on.
