Skibb aces are going for gold again at the World Rowing Championships

IRISH eyes will watch on excitedly this evening as our rowers competing in the finals of the World Rowing Championships in Florida, USA.

Outstanding performances so far mean three Irish athletes are through to the A finals, and can count themselves among the very best in the world, no matter what the outcome.

But we'll be going glory, represented by reigning world champion (lightweight sculls) Paul O'Donovan of Skibbereen Rowing Club, clubmate Denise Walsh cruised into the final (women's lightweight sculls), and Skibbereen's Shane O'Driscoll and Mark O'Donovan in (men's pair)... ably watched over by Skibbereen and Irish coach Dominic Casey.

Finals are at 5pm, 5.15pm and 5.30pm, and will be covered by RTÉ TV.
