Emma Farmer, Orla Finn and Clare Shine were the winners of the fourth quarter Evening Echo Sports Star awards to round out the selections in the 11th year of the popular scheme.
Farmer guided Aghada to Cork, Munster and All-Ireland junior glory, using all her experience in a Rebel geansaí to deliver for her club. What made it extra special was the fact study and work commitments meant the 24-year-old teacher wasn't able to commit to the Cork cause in 2017.
Finn was similarly brilliant for her club Kinsale. After impressing throughout the season with Cork, who were league champions before an All-Ireland semi-final loss to Mayo, and her division West Cork in the senior championship, Finn shot Kinsale to Cork and Munster intermediate silverware.
Kinsale had lifted the same trophies in the junior grades in 2016, and even though they fell short in the All-Ireland final, there's no doubt the rapidly rising Carrigdhoun unit have enjoyed an incredible 18-month run.
Shine was selected as the hero of the Cork City Women's victory in the FAI Cup final. Despite being outsiders going in, Shine, who was a fantastic ladies footballer and camogie player before committing to soccer, nailed a classy goal to bring the trophy to Leeside.
