THERE will be new title holders in the Premier grade of the Cork County Premier 1 U21 hurling championship after the holders Sarsfields were eliminated by Fr O’Neill’s in last night’s semi-final at Ballynoe.

O’Neill’s followed up on their fine victory over Charleville last Sunday with another hugely significant win in this East Cork derby but there will be no respite for them as they are out again on Saturday in the semi-final against Blackrock at Páirc Uí Rinn.

Deccie Dalton and Billy Dunne were in top form again for O’Neill’s with Dalton securing 0-9 from frees and Dunne with a superb 0-5 from play.

Eoin Motherway, Mark Motherway, Ryan Kenneally, and Peter Hassett all got on the scoresheet while for the second time in a few days they conceded no goal to the opposition.

Fr O'Neill's or Blackrock will face Midleton or Douglas in the final in mid-December. The Premier 2 U21 final is this Sunday at 2.30pm at Páirc Uí Rinn where Ballincollig meet Courcey Rovers.
