St Finbarr’s and Glen Rovers have advanced to the semi-finals of the RedFM Cork Senior Hurling League.

The Barrs defeated Erin’s Own on a scoreline of 1-16 to 0-9 on Wednesday night at Páirc Uí Rinn with Bill O’Connell posting 1-3.

Robert O’Mahony, Colm Barrett and Bill Beckett were among the others who contributed on the scoreboard as the Togher side made it safely through to face Douglas in the semi-final.

That will be a repeat of their championship clash which was won by the Barrs.

In the second quarter-final played last night the Glen proved too strong for Bride Rovers, winning on a scoreline of 2-16 to 2-12.

Conor Dorris, Patrick Horgan, Mark Dooley, Glenn Kennefick, Dean Brosnan, Donal Cronin and Dave Noonan all contributed with scores.

Dorris secured six points from play with All-Star Horgan putting up a tally of 1-3.

The Blackpool side will now face Sarsfields in the semi-final and the competition is now building up to what should be a very exciting climax.

The Douglas-Barrs and Glen-Sars ties are provisionally fixed for this Sunday with the final the following weekend, though details have yet to be finalised and Douglas' U21s are already in action on Saturday in the Premier 1 semi-final against Midleton.
