Boherbue bounced back from All-Ireland disappointment with Cork title

AFTER their agonising All-Ireland PPS D football loss a couple of weeks ago, Boherbue Comprehensive School manager Kevin Roche was delighted to secure victory in the Cork PPS senior B football decider in Mallow.
“It is massive for the lads to have a cup coming home for the year they put in. It was hard fought, it took a long, long time to break Mitchelstown CBS down.
"They dominated for large periods of the first half. We’ve 12 competitive football games played this year and we were fierce disappointed two weeks ago to lose the All-Ireland senior D final.

“The goal we got at the end today obviously was massive. Two teams retreated back the field a little bit at times and scores were scarce enough. As you can see a low scoring game overall. Our goal came at the right time.
“We would have been disappointed with the wides. Then again, it was a draw at half-time and we felt we didn’t play well in the first-half.
"We were expecting to lift it more in the second-half. The time their goal came just four or five minutes after the start of the second half was very difficult for us as well.
“I am very proud of the team.”
