CORK trio Caoimhín Kelleher, Aaron Drinan and Adam Idah have been included in the Ireland U21 squad for the Maurice Revello Toulon Tournament.
The tournament, which begins on Monday, June 3, will see Ireland face Bahrain, China and Mexico in France. It will be the first time since 2002 that Ireland have competed in the tournament, under the guidance of ex-Dundalk boss Stephen Kenny.
Kelleher is a highly-rated keeper at Liverpool, while strikers Adam Idah and Aaron Drinan have huge potential.
Idah is currently with Norwich City while Carrigaline native Drinan has been loaned by Ipswich to Waterford.
“We’re extremely excited about going to the Toulon tournament and this is a fantastic opportunity for the players to express themselves in one of the most prestigious under-age international tournaments,” said Kenny.
“We’ve never qualified for the European Championships at U21 level so this tournament represents the highest level we’d have played at.”
